About Joanne
Hi! I’m a Malayalam speaker who enjoys helping others learn the language in a simple, practical, and comfortable way. I can teach Malayalam from the basics, including reading, vocabulary, pronunciation, sentence formation, and everyday conversation.
I understand that learning a new language can feel intimidating, especially when you are not sure where to start. My approach is patient and flexible, and I adjust lessons according to your level and goals rather than following a rigid teaching method.

I believe Malayalam is best learned through regular conversation, practical examples, and a comfortable learning environment. I adapt my teaching style according to the student’s current level, learning goals, and pace.
Teaching techniques and methods:
Conversation-based learning to improve speaking and listening skills
Vocabulary building using everyday words and situations
Simple explanations of Malayalam grammar and sentence formation
Reading and pronunciation practice
Practical dialogues and role-play for real-life communication
Exercises and revision to reinforce what is taught
Typical class structure:
Each class generally begins with a short revision of previous topics, followed by a new concept or set of vocabulary. We then practice through conversations, examples, reading, or exercises. I also leave time for questions and recap the key points at the end of the class.
What makes my classes different:
I focus on making Malayalam useful for actual communication rather than relying entirely on memorization. I can explain concepts in English when needed and adjust the difficulty according to the learner. I also place emphasis on natural pronunciation and everyday Malayalam, including conversational usage.
Who are my classes for?
My classes are suitable for beginners, school and college students, working adults, and anyone who wants to learn Malayalam for personal, academic, travel, or conversational purposes. Classes can be adapted for students who are starting from zero as well as learners who already understand some Malayalam but want to become more confident speaking it.
