About Vila
I have over 15 years’ experience teaching English from Primary to Pre-University levels, including PSLE, IGCSE, GCE, and IB. I enjoy helping students discover their own strengths and build confidence in reading, writing, and analysis. Every student learns differently, so I tailor lessons to suit each individual’s style, encouraging creativity and critical thinking rather than relying on memorization. With 15 years of experience teaching English Language and Literature from Primary to Pre-University levels, including PSLE, IGCSE, GCE, and IB, I offer a highly personalized and thoughtful approach to private tutoring. I carefully assess how each student thinks, writes, and absorbs information before designing lessons that address root challenges rather than surface mistakes. Instead of template-based memorization, I cultivate originality, analytical depth, and structured expression through guided reading, discussion, critique, and targeted writing practice. Lessons typically run 60–90 minutes and are designed for students who value intellectual growth, consistency, and long-term mastery. I work best with families who see English as a skill to be developed, not merely a grade to be chased.
