A lesson can span a few sessions.
The first part of any of my lessons is to put the learner at ease and in learning mode. Understanding their learning style is key to establishing my teaching style. Multimedia platforms and personalized worksheets are often used as teaching tools.
Secondly, with a good understanding of the progression of learning, particularly in the field of Mathematics, a brief assessment is performed to establish level and needs of student.
Thirdly, goal and objectives of lesson are given to establish expectations.
Fourthly, when necessary, review the methodology used in all problem solving processes as a conceptual framework.
Fifthly, problems are solved with the level of difficulty or complexity increased as expectations levels are met.
Lastly, feedback, in the form of evaluation, is always the best way to verify if the objectives were met. Personalized worksheets are provided at the end of the lesson for extra practice.
