Hello! I am a retired Chinese Language teacher with 20 years of teaching experience in Singapore MOE schools. Throughout my career, I have been passionate about helping students build confidence, improve their Chinese language skills, and achieve their academic goals.
I enjoy teaching because I believe education has the power to change lives. Every student is unique, and I take the time to understand each learner's strengths, challenges, and learning style. With 20 years of experience teaching Chinese in Singapore MOE schools, I believe every student can succeed with the right guidance and encouragement. My lessons are tailored to each student's learning needs, goals, and pace, whether they are preparing for examinations, strengthening their language foundation, or improving communication skills.
I use engaging and interactive teaching methods, incorporating inquiry-based learning, comparative reading, and Visible Thinking strategies to make lessons meaningful and enjoyable. Rather than focusing solely on memorisation, I help students develop confidence, critical thinking, cultural understanding, and a genuine appreciation of the Chinese language.
