About Richard
I have taught higher level mathematics courses in top level secondary schools. I have also served
as a consultant for a national organization that helped students at many different school prepare for
AP Calculus and Statistics exams by conducting special Saturday Study Sessions. I have also had
the opportunity to offer workshops to other teachers where I was able to share the techniques that
have made my students very successful.

I teach by guiding my students to a genuine understanding of key concepts and techniques by asking
carefully formulated questions. I would have students send me examples of work
with which they have had trouble before each session so that I can focus my help on special topics or techniques. I would also prepare special sets of questions when that is necessary to deepen understanding.
