About Michael
I have taught maths at variety of levels for the since 2009. Prior to that I worked as a social worker with people who have mental and physical disabilities.
I have always loved maths for it's ability to provide straight answers to problems that would otherwise be ambiguous or subjective. You see this most clearly when you study probably.
I enjoy helping students to see how maths is used to make sense of the world and to solve real world problems.
I also belive that maths is enjoyable in itself, in the same way that one enjoys listening to music.

My aim is to provide you with the skills and confidence to progress. Typically through weekly one to one tutorials. This is normally on line, but meeting in person is possible if wanted and practicable.
All learning grows from prior knowledge, so I at the beginning of my sessions I will set you a task that will allow you to show me what you can do. From there we will proceed to enhancing your skills.
