About Donald
Throughout my teaching career I have always taken my teaching seriously.
How I approach each day's lesson and how students learn from my instruction is of utmost importance. What worked and what did not work whether it is a lecture/discussion, a demonstration, a lab experiment, problem-solving - all have a bearing on future lessons.
As a teacher I am only successful if my students are learning and preparing for the next level.
As a college professor I witnessed too many pre-med students not prepared in physics so I made sure my HS students were prepared in content AND in lab experience.

My teaching experience has helped me realize what teaching methods are successful. I challenge students to think, problem solve, work independently and with others and to develop confidence in their math abilities.
I apply physics to our everyday lives to get students to realize how fun physics can be: real-life experience, demonstrations, lab
experiments, problem-solving along with my sense-of-humor.
I teach and tutor the many difficult concepts of physics to open the eyes of students to what is around them and to see them laugh at how fun learning is.
I take formulas (equations) and break them down for better understanding and even come up with names for them (your favorite equation) that always brings out a student's smile.
I make learning physics FUN!
