About Randy
I am a recently retired assistant principal. I have been in education as a teacher and administrator for over 25 years. My wife and I have three children who I have helped and tutored since they were little.
I also coached my sons' baseball and football teams when they were little. I definitely saw the connection between math and sports that they, and their teammates, made. I was able to demonstrate how math is used and needed in our everyday lives - sports, finances, cooking, music, etc.

The first step is getting to know a student, what they like and what they struggle in. Then, I can create personal lesson plans that engage them and make learning fun. My focus is on elementary students (K-5). I show techniques that work for me and have worked for other students. I start building lessons based on what a student knows. Building confidence goes hand-in-hand with building and layering skills.
