About Guy
I am a graduate of Cambridge University with a PhD from Imperial College, London. I have retired from a career in secondary school teaching and still enjoy helping students to improve their understanding of maths and sciences. I am happy to provide references from parents of past pupils who have agreed to participate.

Generally speaking, my approach is to find out from the student, either directly or through tackling questions, which topics they are finding tricky, or hard to remember, and to go through the important elements with the student. I tend to ask questions as we go, and write down, for the student's future reference, aids to memory and vital points which are essential for understanding the topic. I routinely have with me my set of revision guides which contains up-to-date syllabus information from all of the well-known exam boards. I am using Skype for my online tuition, which students seem to like. I find that we can get just as much education done in this way as with tuition in person.
