About Pattie
I taught in high school and did some tutoring for a couple of years when I lived in Ohio. Over the years I had hundreds of students. Most of them told me I was the best teacher they had, who really prepared them for what they would experience in college. I'm Facebook friends with many of them even this many years later. My students won a lot of awards when they took the area competition Spanish tests. All of them made A's in college Spanish or French. I had promised them that if they could make A's or B's from me, they could ace their college classes or test out of them if they preferred to do that. I produced several foreign language teachers, and a great many with foreign language minors.

I have a BS degree from Southeast Missouri University with teaching certification in Spanish, French, and English for 21 years, and I lived in Mexico for ten years. I began college at Hannibal-LaGrange College because my parents wanted me to stay at home, then went to UMKC for two years before transferring to SEMO.
My lessons will be geared to each individual and what they most need to work on. Every student is different and has his/her own needs as to what areas he/she needs to work on.
I am en expert grammarian, and have even proofread for several authors. And yes, I do know I ended two sentences with a preposition, which is a no-no, but for informal use it's OK.
