About Kannan
I want to teach because I feel students are getting turned off mathematics when exposed to it in a strictly-by-the-book method followed in high schools,taught by individuals constrained by the requirements laid out in the curriculum. This does not fit well with a significant fraction of the student population. Since I am not driven by the need for a fixed and regular salary and since my interest is purely in raising the students’ interest and motivation to learn mathematics, I will be very effective in successfully passing on the ability to tackle problems logically.
