I am a retiring engineer who has been providing math instruction for 3 years. My subjects range from arithmetic to calculus. I have also taught physics. My sessions are typically individual but will consider small groups. Students always want to improve confidence and grades so I focus on what it takes to achieve that.

I get to the fundamentals and find out what the challenge is. This means I will constantly make up my own math problems to test what the struggles are and focus there before proceeding. Math builds upon itself, so prerequisite knowledge is critical. I try and understand each persons background and individuality, as this will direct my lessons, pace, and strategy for success.
