About Paris
I am a rising senior at North Carolina State University majoring in biology. After graduation, I will attend pharmacy school to become a doctor of pharmacy. Before transferring to NCSU, I received my associate’s degree in biology from Central Piedmont Community College in 2024.
I have 2 nieces (10 and 12), 1 nephew (11), and a younger brother in high school. I have helped all 3 of them with their schoolwork for as long as I can remember and try to keep all sessions as interesting and engaging as possible while making sure students are still absorbing the information.

I am a very hands-on learner and use this approach when teaching. Instead of giving a redundant speech that makes the student lose interest, I have them actively participate so they are actually absorbing the information. I know a lot of kids find school and homework miserable, so I do my best to keep my tutoring sessions engaging and something they might even look forward to. I also like to stay positive in order to help motivate my students and prevent them from getting discouraged. I also do not mind going a few minutes past the set tutoring time if the child needs it.
