About Tafara
Overview & Approach
Patient, approachable, and down-to-earth, I am passionate about making Computer Science intuitive, accessible, and exciting for every student. My own journey into coding started at age 14 during COVID, when I taught myself Python from scratch to build my own website. That self-taught curiosity led me to take A-Level Computer Science - where I achieved an A grade despite never having taken the subject at GCSE. I know firsthand how to bridge knowledge gaps quickly and build genuine confidence without feeling overwhelmed.
Academic Background & Experience
I am studying Robotics Engineering at Loughborough University, where I achieved a 1:1 overall grade in my first year, including completing a dedicated programming and software engineering module. Alongside my degree, I hold an A* in A-Level Maths, an A in A-Level Further Maths, and have 3 years of experience tutoring maths. My deep background in Maths and Further Maths directly powers my approach to Computer Science—using core principles like boolean logic, vectors, and mechanics to make programming concepts and algorithms intuitive and easy to understand.

I offer interactive, highly engaging Computer Science and programming sessions delivered in a relaxed, supportive environment. I believe the best way to master coding and computer science theory is by creating a space where students feel safe to experiment, make mistakes, and ask questions without pressure. Every lesson rewards effort and problem-solving attempts, supported by clear, constructive feedback that shows students exactly how to improve.
Whether we are tackling tricky theoretical concepts (like data structures and boolean logic) or writing clean code in Python, C, C#, or front-end languages, I adapt my approach entirely to the student’s learning style and pace. Lesson length and structure are customised based on age, level, and attention span, and will always be thoroughly discussed with parents beforehand.
