About Danny
Hey!
My name is Ntani (Greek for Danny). I am 21 years old and I am currently a university student studying Robotics Engineering bachelors in the UK. I completed my first year of university with a first-class honour, I managed to that alongside working 20 hours a week as a Barista. I also achieved a first-class honour during my second year of university, while I worked 22.5 hours a week as a design engineer at a start-up company. Prior to university I attended public school in Cyprus achieving an overall of 19.1/20. Furthermore, I have completed A level further mathematics with an A (C1, C2, C3, C4, FP1, FP2).
After high school I completed my national service in Cyprus for 1 year. I gained many skills while I was in the military the main ones being teamwork, resilience and determination. I cherish the skills and knowledge gained there and I apply them in my day to day life.
During my time as a design engineer I gained a lot hands on experience, as I worked in the R&D department (worked with power tools, designed and built prototypes). During my short time working there I managed to contribute to a patent.

Hey there, my name is Danny! I started tutoring maths while I was at university. That’s when I fell in love with tutoring and realised it’s what I want to do after I finished university.
My teaching style is quite strict. I studied maths in Cyprus and was taught with the same teaching style. This method is not for everywhere but for those that require structure and someone to mentor and guide them look no further.
I chose to specialise in Edexcel A-level maths as I find the curriculum very enjoyable to teach. Typical sessions last for 1 hour but can be extended to 1.5 hours depending on how urgent the session is (when exam season is close, I usually recommend longer sessions).
A typical session begins by covering a new concept by following the Edexcel book and guidelines. Once the new concept is shown I solve a few example questions so the student can see the theory in action. Afterwards the student tries to apply the new concept to a practice question. I expect students to own a drawing tablet (can be bought for 15-20 pounds online). The student will use the tablet to write their solutions on an online whiteboard so I can make sure they truly understand the new concept. This method is repeated throughout the year.
I have helped many students go from a predicted C in year 12 to an A on their final exams.
