About Roxana
- What kind of experience do you have?
I have been working as a mathematics tutor for over a decade, supporting pupils in getting into their chosen school. I am also the founder of Academic Owl Tuition, a website designed to support potential teachers with their numeracy and literacy skills tests. I have also designed numerous mobile apps for the 11+ Exam GMAT and QTS numeracy skills test, which is available in the Apple store.

I am a full-time private tutor & education consultant with over a decade (7,000+ hours) of experience. In my approach to providing high-quality mathematics tuition, I firmly believe that the foremost attribute a tutor should possess is a deep understanding of the unique requirements, individual needs, and inherent abilities of each student. Moreover, I am committed to recognising and nurturing the innate learning style of every learner I work with, thereby empowering them to reach their full intellectual potential. To reinforce this commitment, I incorporate thorough assessment of past papers, offer guidance on effective exam strategies, and regularly assign homework assignments.
I have vast experience of preparing students for entrance exams such as 11+ Entrance Exams and GCSE Maths. Recent students gained entry to UCS, Highgate, Godolphin & Latymer and the older ones an A* in their GCSE Mathematics. However, these grades can only be achieved after a long period of preparation and hard work.
I have done a PGCE with Middlesex University, I have a Masters in Science, and I am currently a full-time online tutor preparing students for 11+ Maths and Verbal/Non-verbal Reasoning and GCSE Exams.
I am currently focusing on working with pupils with learning difficulties in Maths, such as Dyslexia and Dyscalculia who are in Primary as well as in Secondary.
I believe that you can achieve anything if you are persistent enough.
