About Hannah
I have recently attained a BA degree in music from the University of Oxford. Selected papers included Musical Analysis and Criticism, Music History from medieval to present day, Musical Thought and Scholarship, Stravinsky and the 20th Century, Techniques of Composition, Orchestration, Choral Conducting.
After university I held the post of Graduate Music Assistant at St. Edward's School in Oxford, where I taught academic music lessons, led choral and orchestral rehearsals, taught music theory and aided pupils' keyboard development. I am the Director of Music for the Church of St. Mary & St. John, and in September will take up a place on the MA Choral Conducting course at the Royal Academy of Music. I have achieved distinctions at grade 8 level piano, organ and bassoon, and hold the RSCM Gold Award for voice. I am DBS checked.

My teaching method is based around the needs of the student. Sessions can be tailored to a number of different areas, depending on which the student wishes to focus on. In addition, I can provide suggest reading and suggested exercises for a variety of areas, including musical analysis, history topics, harmony and counterpoint and orchestration.
