About Maria
Hello! I am Maria and I have 5 years of tutoring students with a non-English speaking background in Adelaide. I mainly tutor chemistry and physics but am also able to provide tuition for math methods and biology due to my undergraduate degree in the biomedical sciences and biostatistics. I have plenty of experience in volunteering and conducting research in the allied health space and I hold a valid WWCC (working with children check). I am a 2019 SACE graduate with a 99.65 atar (99.95 adjusted) with 5 years of experience tutoring high school students SACE maths methods, chemistry and physics. I also have experience in teaching younger children with autism and ADHD. I mainly specialise in tutoring chemistry and physics, having graduated with merits in both subjects. I am also highly capable of tutoring maths methods as much of my work involves high level biostatistics.
I also offer headstart year 12 classes (online) for SACE maths methods students with self-written presentations, exemplars and materials. I am also able to provide headstart year 12 chemistry and physics tutoring upon request!
