About Emily
I am a second year music education student and I have played horn for almost a decade. I was drum major of my high school marching band for two years and was awarded the John Phillip Sousa Award. I was also highly active in pep band, jazz band and winterguard. I still participate in jazz, pep and marching band as well as wind ensemble and am in the process of joining the Birmingham Community Concert Band. I have also worked at two different Indiana high schools for two years as a visual/high brass technician. I am very very passionate about what I do and I live to share that passion with others.

I always approach the first lesson as a gauge to see where students are at and where their comfort zone. I believe a light atmosphere is crucial for younger students and I always try to let the student have a degree of control in their own studies.
