About Awais
Hi, I’m Awais. I’m a science grad and currently studying for a BDS degree in Dentistry. I achieved A* grades in A level Chemistry and Biology and have several years of successful tutoring experience.
I have taught GCSE, A level and mature students with a wide range of abilities and starting grades. I have also supported students who went on to gain places to study Medicine at Cambridge and Dentistry at university.
I’m patient, approachable and genuinely invested in the progress of every student I teach. I understand that science can feel overwhelming when it isn’t explained in the right way, so I take the time to break difficult topics down and adapt my approach to each student.
I prepare carefully for lessons, review students’ work and aim to create an environment where they feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes and building confidence.

My approach goes beyond simply teaching the content. I aim to make every lesson engaging and focused on the student’s individual goals. Whatever grade you are currently working at, I’ll help you improve your understanding, build your confidence and work towards the grade you want.
I organise past paper questions by topic and work through them live using Notability. You’ll be able to see every step, ask questions as we go and learn how to apply your knowledge in exams. We’ll also focus on exam technique, mark scheme wording and avoiding common mistakes that lose marks.
Sessions can be one or two hours, although most students choose two. If we need a little longer to finish a topic properly, I’m happy to continue without rushing. I also offer brief additional support outside lessons at no extra charge.
