About Mpho
I am a Science graduate from the National University of Lesotho and a dedicated Mathematics tutor based in Lesotho. I currently work as an Office Administrator at The Hub in Morija, where I work closely with young people through educational and skills-development programmes.
My own journey with Mathematics has shaped the way I teach. I failed Mathematics in high school, but I did not give up. I supplemented the subject, improved my result to a B, and went on to complete a Science degree. This experience taught me that struggling with Mathematics does not mean you cannot succeed.
I teach Mathematics to learners from primary school level through secondary school, including students preparing for IGCSE and GCSE Mathematics. I can support learners with Algebra, Trigonometry, Geometry, Fractions, Decimals, Percentages, Equations, Functions, Statistics and other core Mathematics topics. I can also help with homework, test and exam preparation, and building foundational Maths skills.
My lessons are patient, interactive and adapted to each student's level. I break difficult concepts into simple steps, use practical examples and give students plenty of opportunities to practise. I encourage questions and create a comfortable environment where students can learn without being afraid of making mistakes.
My goal is not only to help students improve their marks, but to help them genuinely understand Mathematics, build confidence and become independent learners.
Whether you are struggling with a particular topic, preparing for exams, or simply want to build your confidence in Mathematics, I would be happy to support you on your learning journey. I believe that with patience, practice and the right support, every student can improve.

My lessons are designed to make Mathematics simple, clear and less intimidating. I believe students learn best when they understand why something works, rather than simply memorising formulae.
I start by understanding the student’s current level, areas they find difficult and what they want to achieve. I then tailor each lesson to their needs, whether they need help with a specific topic, homework, exam preparation or building their overall confidence in Mathematics.
During lessons, I explain concepts step by step, work through examples together and give students opportunities to practise what they have learned. I encourage students to ask questions and make mistakes because mistakes are an important part of learning.
My approach is patient, supportive and interactive. I aim to create a comfortable learning environment where students feel confident enough to say, “I don't understand,” without feeling embarrassed.
