About Saiful Islam
Hi, I’m Saiful — a Computer Science student at La Trobe University, majoring in Artificial Intelligence. I’ve always enjoyed learning, but during my Year 12 studies, I discovered how much I love teaching too. I used to explain tricky concepts to my friends and seeing them finally understand things gave me a real sense of purpose. Since then, I’ve been tutoring for over 3 years, mainly in Math and Physics. I scored 97.5% in Physics and 93% in Math in my HSC and received the La Trobe University Excellence Scholarship for high achievement. My goal as a tutor is simple: break things down, relate them to real life, and make learning feel easier and more doable for every student.

I always start my lessons by connecting the topic to a simple real-life example. This helps students relate to the concept before we dive deeper. I also use storytelling to introduce new ideas in a fun and engaging way, followed by mini quizzes and quick questions to check understanding and keep the lesson interactive.
My approach is friendly, patient, and focused on simplifying things — especially for students who find subjects like Maths, Physics, or Coding a bit overwhelming. I adapt my pace based on each student’s comfort and make sure they don’t just memorize but actually understand the topic.
Lessons typically last between 1 to 2 hours, with a frequency of 2–3 times a week and are tailored to each student’s goals and needs. Whether it's catching up, getting ahead, or preparing for exams, I structure every session to make learning easier and more enjoyable.
