About Larisa
I’ve always enjoyed science, particularly understanding how things work and how scientific ideas apply to real-life situations. This interest is what led me to continue studying and developing my knowledge further. I find science especially rewarding because once concepts are fully understood, they become much easier to apply, which is key for exam success.
I want to teach because I genuinely enjoy helping students overcome challenges and reach a point where things start to “click” for them. I understand that subjects like biology, chemistry, and physics can sometimes feel overwhelming, so I aim to make them more approachable by breaking topics down clearly and building understanding step by step.
I’m a patient, supportive, and encouraging tutor, and I focus on creating a positive and comfortable learning environment where students feel confident asking questions without pressure. My goal is not only to help students improve their grades and exam performance, but also to build their confidence and independence in learning, so they feel more capable both in lessons and in exams.

I am offering GCSE and A-Level Combined/Triple Science tutoring, including biology, chemistry and physics. My lessons are tailored to each student, beginning with identifying their current level, strengths, and areas for improvement. This allows me to create structured sessions that focus on both building a strong understanding of key scientific concepts and developing effective exam technique.
In my lessons, I use a combination of clear, step-by-step explanations, active recall, and regular exam-style questions to reinforce learning. I place a strong emphasis on past paper practice and mark scheme analysis, helping students understand how to structure their answers, use key terminology accurately, and maximise marks in exams. I also break down more difficult topics into manageable sections, ensuring students fully understand each part before moving on.
Lessons are typically 60 minutes long and are designed to be engaging, supportive, and productive. I regularly review progress and adapt my teaching approach to suit each student’s learning style, whether they need more practice, revision support, or help with specific topics. My aim is not only to improve grades but also to build confidence and help students feel more comfortable and capable in science.
