About Kaylynne
I found my love of teaching while tutoring fellow students in high school, and I went on to earn a degree in life and earth science education. I began my career as a science educator in the public schools, but I soon moved on to teaching at the university level. There, I specialized in helping students transition from high school to college and to develop the skills they needed to excel in their chosen path. Eventually, my love of science propelled me to earn a PhD in biology, but afterwards, I realized that teaching college was less fulfilling than working one-on-one with students. I look forward to working with you on your science journey.

I teach students from elementary school through college, and each comes to me with different needs. For each student, I create a unique learning environment tailored just to them; I begin by identifying what they already know and then use that as a foundation to help them connect to new information. In my lessons, I prioritize methods that facilitate long-term learning, including developing a personal connection to the material and having a positive relationship to the subject.
