About Ishita
Hi, I'm Ishita! I'm a Software Development Engineer at Ciena, where I work on building real-world software every day. I completed my B.Tech in Computer Science and Engineering with a CGPA of 9.03, and I ranked in the top 9% of the country in GATE CSE 2026, one of the most competitive exams in Computer Science.
Before joining Ciena, I worked as an Associate Software Engineer at Wissen Infotech, where I built microservices, APIs and cloud applications using Node.js, PostgreSQL, Docker and AWS. I have also built several full-stack and cloud projects, solved 300+ LeetCode problems, and contributed to open source through Girl Summer of Code 2025.
Beyond tech, I'm a university debate champion and have represented my university at IIT Delhi. Debating taught me how to explain ideas clearly and confidently, a skill I bring into every class.
I genuinely enjoy helping people understand Computer Science. I remember how confusing some of these subjects felt at first, and I know how rewarding it is when a concept finally clicks. I'm patient, well-prepared and always punctual, and I treat every student's goals as my own. I'm looking forward to learning alongside you!

About the lesson

I start from the basics and build step by step, explaining the "why" behind every concept. I use simple examples, diagrams, and dry runs of code so that even difficult topics like recursion, deadlocks, normalization or automata become easy to visualise. Since I work as a Software Engineer, I also show how these concepts are used in real software.
Structure of a class:
A quick recap of the previous topic and clearing any doubts
Explanation of the new concept from the fundamentals
Solving problems together, including exam and interview-style questions
A short summary and practice questions to try before the next class
What makes my classes special: Every session is planned around your level, pace and goals. I encourage questions at any point, because no doubt is too small. Having ranked in the top 9% in GATE CSE 2026, I know which concepts students usually find confusing and how to explain them clearly.
