About Amit
I earned my PhD in Physics and Philosophy from the University of British Columbia (Vancouver, CA) in 2004. After a year of Post Doc in Konstanz (Germany) I moved to the US and started teaching and doing research in theoretical physics in a Big 10 University, where I became a tenured professor in 2011. In 2015 I was promoted to full professor, and made a career shift to biomedicine where I made scientific discoveries and issued patents in exercise oncology and in solutions to fatty liver disease. In my 20 years in Academia I have taught more than 2000 undergraduate and unleashed more than a dozen graduate students into their academic and professional careers. I truly care about my students, and see their success as a proof that I am doing something right.

For over 20 years I have been teaching in a Big 10 University on the scientific method. My main focus is the natural sciences (first logic, math and physics, and recently biomedicine). I have seen students arrive to college from high school and I am extremely sensitive to their concerns and needs. After familiarizing myself with the students' background and goals, I tailor the lesson plans to these. A typical lesson plan in logic or math, for example, will include going over a theorem, solving problems together, and finding real life examples where the material applies. The lessons are intended for junior and senior high school students who wish to enter into college seamlessly and stress free.
