About Kalani
I am a second year medical student. I have a bachelors degree in Radiation Therapy (honours), I graduated school with an OP 3 and studied maths B, maths C, physics, chemistry, accounting and english. I have tutored year 11 and 12 maths B and I have previously volunteered as a primary school tutor.

My lessons are geared towards students who are eager to learn regardless of their level of understanding. The student will ideally approach every lesson with an open and positive mindset and a 'can do' attitude. In primary school, I struggled understanding maths but with hardwork and practice, I developed a genuine passion and love for it and I hope to instil that in each student!
Before starting lessons I would ideally like to know what the student is struggling with and it would also be beneficial to have an outline of the topics covered at their school. My lesson structure will generally be to go through the appropriate theory first and then attempt some problem solving questions together with the student. I would then assign just a few simpler questions and one harder question for them to attempt at home and consolidate their knowledge. I believe that to understand complex questions, it is crucial to be competent in the fundamental principles first.
I am easy going, friendly and organised. I want to motivate you to help you achieve your goals. I will actively aim to adapt my teaching style to best suit you because I understand that everyone learns differently :)
