About Ella
I'm a second year student at the University of Sheffield and I study English and Philosophy. I achieved two nines at GCSE English and a AAA*A* at A-level in English, History, Economics and in an EPQ. I have a good understanding of the current curriculum in schools having recently left sixth form and completing my GCSE's in 2020. I therefore understand the teaching styles as well the specific techniques necessary to succeed under current curriculums and exam mark schemes.
I have a particular interest in Shakespeare and poetry alongside Modern Literature but I am more than happy to help with any problem areas. I'm very patient as I understand that with English it can take time. I strongly believe that everyone can have a passion for English it just may take different paths for different individuals to find enjoyment in the subject.

Hi!
I use visual and occasionally multi-media learning alongside a set of clear notes which the student will learn to construct in a way most helpful for them. I achieved two nines at GCSE English and an A* in A-level English. I have not always found English easy so my progression comes from a place of trial and error, eventually discovering techniques that have made English not only now easy but enjoyable. So much so that I have gone on to study the subject at a degree level. I'm happy to help with any problem areas that being exams, essay writing, poetry... Whatever it is I'm more than happy to help.
