About Maia
As a student myself, I understand the struggles that come with being in school. The long hours of work, impossible math questions, and homework assignments are all aspects that I am very accustomed to. While school may be a negative experience for many people, I want to be able to bring positivity into the learning experience. I have learned that while school is difficult there is nothing more satisfying then accomplishing a task that you worked hard towards. I believe that school brings purpose, motivation, and teaches discipline which are extremely important qualities even if you don't pursue further education in the future.
I can assure that I am confident in my abilities to teach chemistry and french, and would love to be a part of your learning journey.

My teaching techniques includes both instruction of specific subjects that are difficult for the student as well as a variety of practice questions and activities in order to gain a deeper understanding of said subject. When I was in high school, as well as in my current studies in university, I find that the most effective way to advance my learning and to gain a deeper understating is to teach. Since a young age, I have been teaching my parents, friends and peers the content I am learning which has ensured a high level of success. I want to spread this ability to students by incorporating recall activities, and effective study techniques that will be beneficial in their future studies.
