About Emil
I aim to make lessons clear, structured and approachable, so students feel comfortable asking questions and working through areas they find difficult.
I prepare lessons around each student’s individual needs and goals rather than using the same approach for everyone. I also place a strong emphasis on being organised, reliable and clear in my communication.
My goal is to create a focused but supportive environment where students can build their understanding, improve their exam technique and become more confident working independently.

My tutoring is tailored to each student’s starting point, whether they are struggling with the basics, looking to build confidence, or aiming for the highest grades. I achieved A*s in Geography, History and Religious Studies at A-level, alongside Grade 9s in all three at GCSE, so I have recent experience of the knowledge and exam techniques needed to succeed.
I adapt each lesson to the student’s needs. This might involve breaking down difficult topics step by step, filling gaps in understanding, improving essay structure, practising evaluation, or working through past-paper questions. For History and RS, I focus particularly on building clear arguments, using evidence effectively and developing evaluation. In Geography, I focus on understanding key content, using case studies well and applying knowledge to exam questions.
Lessons are typically one hour and can be adapted around upcoming assessments, weaker topics or specific skills the student wants to improve.
I also volunteered at school to support a younger student with A-level Religious Studies, helping them understand difficult concepts and approach the subject more confidently.
