About Rashmi
I am a second year Mechanical Engineering student at UCL, currently on track for a First Class degree. At A level, I achieved three A stars and an A in Maths, Further Maths, Physics and Chemistry. I am also a Powertrain Engineer in the UCLR Formula Student team, where I work on CAD design using Fusion 360 and run simulations using ANSYS and MATLAB, applying engineering principles to real automotive systems. I have a strong passion for STEM and have several years of tutoring experience, helping students of all ages and abilities improve their understanding and confidence. I focus on making lessons clear, engaging and tailored to each student’s learning style. I aim to develop strong problem solving skills and a deep understanding of the subject, supporting students not only to achieve excellent results but also to enjoy learning STEM.

My online lessons are structured to ensure clear understanding and active learning. I start by introducing and explaining the topic in a simple, relatable way. Then, I go through a few example questions with the student, breaking down each step and encouraging questions. After that, the student tries similar problems on their own while I guide and support as needed. This helps build confidence and independence. At the end of each session, we practise exam-style questions on the topic to reinforce learning and improve exam technique. Each lesson is interactive, personalised, and focused on long-term understanding and progress.
