About Sophie
I am a recent graduate who has recently begun studying Secondary English and Psychology Teaching. Hence, I am incredibly involved in lessons and want my students to achieve their full potential! I am interested in tutoring English, Psychology and can look over general work to check your literacy, grammar and spelling. I have previous experience tutoring students in year 11 and 12 and they have all improved their general writing skills, understood how to break down rubrics and have improved their grades in my specialised subjects. I can’t wait to help you or your child(ren) achieve their best possible and aid them in developing the appropriate skills to grow academically and as individuals!

My teaching method is simple yet fun and effective. I like to go over the rubric of the assignment we will be working on to gain an understanding of what markers are looking for and to ensure my student understands what to include. This is important in order to produce an essay/presentation/assignment that is of a high standard and relates to the key components of the task. I like to build a connection with my students to ensure they are comfortable to share their ideas, questions and to give me an insight into their engagement and creative skills during lessons. Having this connection makes it easier for my student and myself so we can work together to achieve the best possible result!
