About Ellen
I am a passionate maths teacher offering 1-2-1 tutoring in GCSE and A-level mathematics. I graduated from the University of East Anglia in 2019 and went straight on to complete my PGCE in Secondary Education. I am qualified to teach GCSE and post-16 mathematics with particular interests in pure maths and mechanics. Having taught a wide range of abilities throughout my career so far, I am confident I can provide each student with an ambitious session that stretches and deepens their understanding whilst building their confidence in their mathematical ability.

I am currently Head of Year in a Secondary School in Norwich and have been a teacher for 5 years now. As such, I have gained experience across all abilities so I'm confident I can provide the necessary support to any individual, whether it be building confidence in GCSE maths or trying to hit certain entry requirements for a University application. I am happy to take requests to cover certain content or alternatively sit down and come up with a plan for each student individually to target their specific needs identified from recent school assessments. I'm a chatty, approachable person and aim to make every session as informal and engaging as possible. I aspire to create a purposeful, but open environment where students feel comfortable and confident to ask questions and make mistakes so we can unpick misconceptions and gain a deeper understanding of each topic.

Perfect! Ellen has been amazing with our son helping him with his GCSE Maths, he has gone from a predicted grade of 3/4 to a 6/7 with Ellen's tutoring. She has taken the time to get to know him and adjust her style of teaching to what worked best for him.
