About Jayne
I am a fully qualified secondary science teacher. I teach both Biology and Chemistry A Level. I studied my PGCE at the University of York which gave me up to date and cutting edge teaching experience that i can translate into my tutoring. I have run revision classes for many years but only recently become a official tutor.
I studied my undergraduate degree at The University of Leeds in Pharmacology. I am passionate about sharing my knowledge and helping my pupils achieve all their goals.

My teaching style consists of highlighting areas of weakness and misconceptions in my tutees knowledge and working hard to correct this. I aim to motivate, encourage and push pupils to do their best. At set Intervals i will provide diagnostic worksheets and quizzes to highlight specific progress and enhanced understanding in order to show my pupils the rewards of hard work and perseverance. I can also use this to Inform my tutoring practice.
I provide summer schemes to prepare pupils for entering year 7-11 and post 16. I aim to give pupils the confidence for secondary science by providing a solid framework of ‘big ideas’ in science that underpin our national curriculum.
