About Jack
I am a currently a university student with two years experience as a Teaching Assistant in a secondary school, I supported students of all abilities. I've been previously an English academic tutor as well as pastoral support mentor (Within the context of this school setting) . When dealing with children and young people teaching is not a case of talking at them, it's a case of bouncing ideas off them so they find answers themselves.

My method of teaching is based on the learner, no two people can learn in the same way, this premise is why I tutor exclusively one-to-one. When you work directly with a student you can really understand what helps them deconstruct difficult tasks and cater your teaching style to understand their needs. Prolonged periods of unknown subject matter being thrown at in individual can and are daunting, this is why promoting the learner to be questioning is so important to my teaching style.
