About Karanveer
I've been programming professionally since 2018. I've worked on small and large enterprise projects using all sorts of programming languages. I started out with Python and Java under my belt. Then learned C#, F#, Scala and TypeScript. Finally I learned Go which is what I've been using over the past 2 years. I've worked on both front-end and back-end projects in various frameworks. I've contributed tens of thousands of lines of code and have been responsible for bugs (which are inevitable) and their heroic fixes. I've also learned how to set up proper DevOps pipelines so the software is safe and easy to deploy to various environments. Today, a programmer is expected to know something about how to package and deploy their apps as containers so I will definitely be including lessons on this important topic. My journey has been an amazing ride and I hope I will get to help you build stuff equally as cool and rewarding.

My teaching method is adapted directly from my day-to-day work as an engineer in a fortune 100 company.
I don't like learning programming with cookie-cutter examples - they're boring!
I prefer real-world programming tasks, like building a new CLI tool to make a manual task completely automated. Or building a service to allow others to query and update data in a database directly.
My lessons are designed to teach you not just how to provide the right solutions, but to learn to ask the right questions. How to probe deeper into a problem and keep yourself on point.
My goal is for you to acquire the skills to always know which data structures to use for a given problem and confidently take on any programming task.
Consequently, my courses do require a prior knowledge of programming basics. You should know at least one programming language - functions, loops, classes, types, etc. No need to be a master.
If you're serious about learning to build programs that stand the test of time because they're actually useful, and want to learn how to think like a programmer, then you're the ideal student for my course.
