About Emma
As a senior in college at StoneHill I have been trained to both get a PhD in math as well as education. I’m not just a math whiz who gets things immediately and thinks that math is easy. I know first hand that it is extremely hard because I have to work 10x harder than my peers to succeed. I think that wealth of knowledge as well as my experience sets me apart from any other tutor.

I tutored privately, am a TA for four courses at StoneHill, and was a teacher at the Taft School this past summer where I worked with over 100 English language learners. I have helped people with all levels of need and embrace students who struggle with math. I grew up struggling with math and didn’t hit my stride until I realized that anybody can be successful in math as long as they are taught in a way that fulfills their needs and learning styles. I’m looking to spread math love to those who may have previously felt they aren’t cut out for math, like I did. I will help students realize their potential
