About Jason
In the decade or so that I have been tutoring across all age groups, I have received the compliment many times that I should consider becoming a professional teacher. The thing that has made me an effective teacher is the fact that I'm not a teacher: I'm a student. I have been where you are and have learned the material you're grappling with. More than that though, I believe in your ability to truly master it and make it your own. My goal is to help you unlock the nerd power within you and regain the academic confidence that you need to succeed.

My teaching method focuses primarily on addressing core concepts and practicing the application of those concepts with the goal of making them second nature. Learning is meant to be fun and exciting. I believe there is a passion for it locked inside each of us.
A typical lesson starts out with your questions or homework. From there, we find ways to explain the material in a way that makes sense to you and then practice until you can explain it without feeling like you're just memorizing a script. We will also help you approach your study materials, like your textbook, so that you can more effectively find answers for yourself when you need to.
I teach any age and level, from first grade to university, and any personality. Whether you're learning your multiplication tables or finishing pre-reqs to apply to medical school, I can help you get where you need to be and be confident when you get there.
