I love sewing!!!!! I have 10+ years of experience in this industry. After completing my fashion design program from George Brown College (Toronto), I started my own business of making custom clothes. I believe clothing is a mindful act of dressing your body in a way that makes you feel good and makes you feel confident which then allows you to move into the world with confidence. Over the past years, I realized that I love sharing that excitement with others to help them realize their own sewing dreams I think this is a dream come true for me – working with the kids/ adults, AND teaching sewing. It’s a win win!!!! My Expertise: -Sewing Techniques: Proficient in teaching a wide range of sewing techniques, including hand stitching, machine stitching, hemming, buttonholes, zippers, seams, and finishing techniques. -Pattern Reading and Alteration: Skilled in guiding students through the process of reading and understanding sewing patterns, making necessary alterations, and achieving proper fit and proportions. -Garment Construction: Experienced in teaching the construction of various garments, such as skirts, dresses, pants, shirts, jackets, and more. I did not know what to expect when I found Geetika as a sewing instructor. I had on the back a couple of options in case the lessons with Geetika would not work.
We did not use the other referrals as she was absolutely amazing!
Her professionalism, dedication along with ability to teach were very impressive . She has the patience, skills and talent required to be a designer most importantly she has the capacity to transmite that passion for sewing. My niece made a beautiful dress from scratch. She learnt how to cut , build a pattern, work on the design , structure and finish of the dress .
Thanks Geetika for the time and the valuable skills you passed on to Caity .I’ve had a great experience with Geetika! She helped me understand how to function my sowing machine a bit more and learn certain features that I wouldn’t have known on my own. She explains very well the reason behind every detailed adjustments on the clothings, which helps you understand why you should sow that way. Geetika is a great teacher and I definitely would recommend her!

Hi, I met Geetika as a first person from my daughter’s school.. She is such a sweetheart.. But when i came to know she give sewing lessons. I loved to join her class and believe me she is amazing in what she do.. her creativity and teaching skills are excellent.. Absolutely recommend her.. ️
