About Sarah
My work is to help find a way for you to understand the subject matter - yours is to meet it with an open mind . This doesn't mean we ignore the inherent history and privilege baked into lauded writers who were writing for a hegemonic audience, but instead, we critically examine those authors' identities and experiences and intent, especially in how those intersect with our own in the 21st century.

I'm a former college professor with two terminal degrees in theatre - one of those in a program specifically focusing on Early Modern or Renaissance texts heavily focused on Shakespeare. I've taught both creative writing and other aspects of theatre, including a text analysis course that fulfilled the College's "Writing Intensive" curriculum requirement, building on the use of academic English in essays and other formats as tools to practically dissect scripts as literature and as the blueprints of making a play from page to stage. I'm a great editor and I love teaching students how to organize their thoughts in essays because I've found they've already got a thesis argument in a first draft, it usually just needs to be forefront to focus a reader through the essay. I've worked with students with multiple learning differences (such as dyslexia), and am happy to tailor my work to how a student learns best.
