About Light
I am a professional filmmaker with over a decade of experience in the industry. Besides expertise in this field, I am a scholar in traditional Chinese studies and a poet. I hope to teach language to gain teaching experience for further educational research at the university. Therefore, I would love to have multiple students with various backgrounds. Also, I am practising vivid and contextual educational methods and hope they will benefit my students.
Since I spent around two years in Vancouver, I have been stuck in its multiple cultures and fantastic landscapes. Therefore, after gaining my new degree in Chinese studies, I decided to return to Canada in the coming year. Before that, I hope we can have online classes.
Certifications：
Mandarin level certificate: National Grade 1A qualification
MPhil in classic Chinese studies（traditional / culture）
Ten years of professional experience on the China National TV station

Light was my supervisor when I was in the classic Chinese reading club. We did it online because of the pandemic, and she was excellent at designing courses and delivering knowledge to her students. Based on her professional guidance and inspiration, I learned a lot about ancient Chinese texts. More importantly, light did make the class interactive and enjoyable.
