About Chantell
Hello you :) My name is Chantell. I have had some interesting experiences in my life. I am South African. Years ago, when I lived in Israel, I came across an arts and crafts shop and was fascinated by the silver jewellery. Much of it was made in South Africa! I came home, studied at the Durban University of Technology for 5 years and traded at many of Durban's trendy craft markets.
I later returned to East London and opened a funky little jewellery shop with my husband. We work with a wide range of materials in the ever constant desire to express our creativity. I am looking forward to sharing what I know with you and showing you the magic of metalsmithing and mixed media :)

I have been a jeweller for many years and really love to share what I know. Most people don't realize what they are capable of creating! You don't need an art background to make jewellery, you just need to open your mind and be prepared to learn!
The possibilities are endless and with a bit of patience, you too can make 'wearable art.' Jewellery is about more than wearable art though, as you can make variety of objects, such as embellishments for book covers, walking stick details, wands, candle holders, etc etc.
