About Kaushalya
Hi! I'm Kaushalya, a first-year undergraduate student at SUTD with a strong academic background and a deep passion for teaching. I’ve consistently achieved distinctions in Math, English, and Hindi throughout my school years - PSLE, O&A levels- and I’m confident in helping students reach their full potential too. I’ve previously worked with younger children through volunteering and informal tutoring, which taught me how to connect with students at their level and adapt my teaching style to suit their needs. I want to tutor because I find it rewarding to break down complex ideas into simpler steps and to watch students grow in both understanding and confidence. I’m patient, approachable, and committed to creating a positive, supportive learning environment.

My approach to tutoring is patient, tailored, and results-driven. I believe every student learns differently, so I take time to understand each child’s unique learning style and identify their weak points early on. From there, I create a supportive environment where we work through challenges together and build confidence step by step. My lessons are typically 1 to 1.5 hours long and designed to balance clear explanations with ample practice. I specialise in teaching primary and secondary level students, and I particularly enjoy helping younger learners grasp core concepts and improve steadily over time. With strong attention to detail and a passion for making learning engaging, I aim to make every session productive and encouraging.
