I started taking lessons with Hilary a couple months ago, and I highly recommend her as an instructor. She’s very knowable and gives me a lot of freedom to choose what I want to work on, and she’s able to find exercises quickly to help me improve whatever we’re focusing on for a particular song. I’m amazed sometimes at the ways a simple conceptual shift she suggests can immediately have a big effect on tone. I’ve definitely already noticed a difference in how I sing and feel like my range has expanded, and I feel more confident with my ability to get better with practice. I love the convenience of video lessons and I feel like we’re able to accomplish the lesson well in that format.

Before I worked with Hilary, I had trouble singing a song all the way through. I knew I had some talent, but I didn’t know why I couldn’t sustain my voice or how to get better. i found hilary on craigslist and worked with her once a week for six months. she’s an awesome human and a great teacher. her voice coaching helped me find the confidence to sing the songs i’ve written and share them with the world. her approach was laid-back and empowering. she really understands how to meet a vocalist where they are and give them the tools to improve.
