About Rebecca
Rebecca Seifert is a singer, actress, and educator currently based in beautiful Lafayette, Colorado. She graduated with honors from the University of Oregon, where she was recognized as the “Outstanding Undergraduate Vocalist” and was one of the winners of the University of Oregon Opera Scholarship Competition. She holds a Master of Music degree from the University of Colorado Boulder, where she was fully funded through a tuition scholarship and a salaried graduate assistantship. Rebecca has performed both professionally and academically in choral, musical theatre, and operatic settings in the United States and abroad. Some of her favorite roles include: Isabella in Rossini’s L’Italiana in Algeria, Desiree Armfeldt in Sondheim’s A Little Night Music, and Hansel in Humperdinck’s Hansel und Gretel. As a choral musician, Rebecca has sung in major festivals including the Oregon Bach Festival, Oregon Musicking Conference, and Bravo! Vail. Rebecca is a passionate, well-rounded singer who is eager to share her dedication to the performing arts with her students. Outside of maintaining her private voice studio, she enjoys jogging, hiking, cooking, and hanging out with her cat, Romeo.

ALL levels and ages are welcome, whether you are just starting out (even if you cannot carry a tune), have an audition coming up, or want to enjoy singing as a passionate hobby. Inspired by the opera singers of yesteryear, my teaching methods and techniques focus highly on releasing tensions and building a strong vocal technique by slowly increasing vocal range, stamina, clarity of tone and pitch, and musical expression; pillars which are important regardless of genre. What to expect: I start my lessons with a short chat about your musical experience and goals. Then, we will do about 10-20~ minutes of some easy exercises to warm up and assess your voice. Next, we will spend about 20-30~ minutes on the repertoire of your choice, whether it's pop, rock, R&B, musical theatre, opera, or even choir music! At the end of my lessons, we will have a 5 minute reflection on any new concepts from our lesson and create a plan for your at-home practice. Who is eligible for lessons? AGE? - I have taught ages 7-50. All ages benefit from singing lessons and I design custom lesson plans for all ages. LEVEL? -Beginners of all ages and stages are welcome. Vocal curriculums are customized for your experience level and personal tastes. -Optional recitals to meet other passionate students and share your love of music in a supportive environment. -I offer ear training curriculums to help those who struggle to match pitch build the skills to perform full songs. INTERMEDIATE/ADVANCED -Have an audition coming up? Allstate choir? Musical theatre? Arts school, collegiate, or professional auditions? I bring industry knowledge to help you polish a competitive repertoire package and help you walk into your audition with confidence. I also offer audition workshops with other audition coaching students. -Have an upcoming performance? Whether it is a choir performance, musical theatre, band, or even karaoke night, I offer repertoire coaching and recitals to help you feel prepared and confident.
