About Chiara
I am a languages student at the University of Cambridge and I’m happy to provide online lessons via platforms such as zoom or in person depending on location. My aim is to help students to improve their vocal technique and encourage beginners or intermediate students of any age, to achieve a level of singing and technique that gives them enjoyment when learning new repertoire. I believe it is important to tailor the lessons to whatever goals the student is aiming towards and to make singing as enjoyable and vocally safe as possible. As a performing member of the National Youth Choir since the age of 11 and now a member of their Chamber Choir, I have learned numerous singing techniques that aid vocal health, diaphragm support and expression of music alongside various different styles of music. I have my ARSM Diploma in Classical Singing (Distinction) and a Choral Scholarship to the University of Cambridge. I have grade 5 Music Theory and am working towards grade 8, so my understanding of music theory would be beneficial when teaching singing. I also play other instruments; Clarinet (Diploma), Cello (Grade 8), Piano (understanding of chords and basic accompaniments) and Guitar.

I believe lessons should be tailored to the goals of each student whilst encouraging vocally safe but enjoyable singing. I am looking to teach beginner or intermediate singers of any age and the length of lessons can be discussed according to the student’s wishes.
