About Emma
I am a tutor for both GCSE and A-Level Biology. I aim to help students develop interest and passion for the subject alongside helping them improve their understanding. In my lessons, we will first focus on understanding content. Next, we will aim to recall the newly learnt content. Finally, we will consolidate our knowledge in an applied setting through doing past paper exam questions.
Ultimately, I want to be able to help my students develop their very own method of studying - one that works best for them with the highest possible studying efficiency.

I aim to provide detailed coverage of content that may be brushed over in actual class lessons and teach in a method such that details from multiple different topics can be linked together to allow my students a deeper understanding of the whole picture. In my lessons, we will also constantly go over exam skills and techniques, including developing standard answers to more challenging 5 or 6 markers or applied questions. My ultimate aim is to encourage and help my students develop their own method of studying - typically one that suits them best and ensures high efficiency.
I have completed my A-Levels (A*) and GCSEs (9) and have more than 1 year of teaching experience, both as tutors for A-Level and GCSE students. The typical length of a lesson is 1 hour, but can vary up to 2 hours upon request.
