About Abdullah
I am an avid reader - I enjoy novels but love non-fiction, especially memoirs and scientific non-fiction, with my favourite book being War Doctor by David Nott. I am also a passionate football fan, following Luton Town FC, Real Madrid, and the Premier League. I enjoy hiking and cycling.
I chose to pursue medicine as a career because of its altruistic side - I want to improve people's lives - and tutoring fits this for me too. I love contributing to the success of others, and it means a lot to me when I am able to help someone understand something they didn't before, so you can expect me to be passionate about teaching you.

My lessons are made to be as efficient, useful and interactive as possible. When teaching a topic, I "interview" a student to establish what they know and find gaps in knowledge, which I then address, before collaborating with the student on exam-style questions, acting mainly as a thinking partner or guide rather than explaining things myself. My lessons are 60-90 minutes long.
I have been predicted A* in A-Level Biology, Chemistry and Maths, and I achieved grade 9s in GCSE Maths (a year early), Biology, Chemistry and Physics, with my grades helping me secure my Medicine offer from Imperial.
I have tutored my younger brother in GCSE maths, taking his working grade from 4 to 6, and in year 13 I have assisted my teacher in year 12 Chemistry support sessions. I have 11 months experience volunteering in a SEND youth club.
