About Layla
Hello! I am a sixth-form student with a passion for Maths and Science, and I enjoy helping younger students build confidence in their learning. Having recently completed my GCSEs, I understand the challenges students may face and can explain topics in a clear and relatable way. I achieved strong GCSE results, including Grade 8 in Maths, and I am continuing these subjects at a higher level. I am patient, friendly and supportive, and I aim to create a positive learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and developing their skills. I offer lessons for students in Year 8 and below who would like extra support, improved confidence or help strengthening their understanding of Maths and Science.

I offer friendly and supportive Maths and Science lessons for students in Year 8 and below (including primary school). As a sixth-form student who has recently completed my GCSEs, I understand the challenges students can face when learning new topics and preparing for tests. I aim to make lessons engaging and comfortable, adapting my teaching to each student’s needs and pace. I can explain difficult topics step-by-step, work through examples together, and use practice questions to check understanding. Lessons will focus on building strong foundations, improving confidence and helping students become more independent learners. I am patient and approachable, and I encourage students to ask questions whenever they are unsure. Lessons are suitable for students who may need extra support, want to strengthen their understanding, or simply want to feel more confident in Maths and Science.
