About Isla
With 3 years of tutoring experience, I have had the privilege of teaching over 300 high school and college students. My passion for education drives me to help students unlock their full potential in Math. I believe every student has the ability to succeed with the right guidance and support. Over the years, I’ve seen countless students overcome their struggles, gain confidence, and excel in their studies. My teaching approach focuses on building a strong foundation and fostering a love for the subject. I’m proud to have helped many students improve their grades, pass exams, and achieve their academic goals. My teaching approach to Maths revolves around making abstract concepts tangible and engaging through real-life examples and case studies. I believe that students learn best when they can see how mathematical principles apply to everyday life, whether it's in architecture, technology, or nature. By relating complex topics to real-world scenarios, I aim to make Maths feel relevant and exciting.
I also emphasize creativity in problem-solving, encouraging students to think outside the box and explore multiple methods for finding solutions. This not only strengthens their mathematical skills but also fosters critical thinking, which is essential for tackling challenges in both academic and real-world contexts.
Motivation is key in my teaching. I strive to create a supportive and positive learning environment where students feel confident in their abilities. I work with each student’s unique pace and learning style, ensuring they receive the individualized attention they need to succeed.
With integrity and flexibility at the core of my tutoring, I am committed to guiding students through their mathematical journey, helping them master the subject and build a deeper appreciation for its value. In addition to Maths, I can also provide tutoring in related subjects like Physics and Statistics.
